Hirschsprungs Awareness 

My name is Stephanie. At 6 months of age I was diagnosed with Total Colonic Hirshcsprungs.

To correct, I had the Martin-Duhamel revision. Since then I have endured a few complications to the disease, however, for the most part I would say I'm pretty lucky. My day to day struggle is predominately due to dehydration and the inability to hold on to weight.

However, I try not to let HD define me. I love to craft, cook, bake, nature, and sharing time with friends and family. Last year I even took up horseback riding!  In about 6 months time I should be finishing up my MS degree in Child Life!
